Blog Launch: T minus 5
Can I save and edit this later? Countdown to launching SlowDownSilly blog on March 16 (not coincidentally, my birthday!!!) I'd like to blog about where to find color-specific "books by the yard" but I haven't done the research yet, so all I can say is, "Where the heck can I find CHEAP, used books by the yard?" I don't want leather-bound, $30/PER BOOK!!! books...I want cloth-bound, neutral or red-colored books for cents/inch. If anyone stumbles upon this blog, please comment on an internet source, or pick them out in person in Southern California.
If the application matters, I am staging 8 remodeled condos in a Long Beach condo-conversion. And we open the models the end of March. Yikes!

Take back Public Transportation!
Take public transit - it works (sorta). Maybe, if we slow down and stop trying to do more, faster, sooner, maybe we'd still be okay. You think? And we'd burn less oil, and improve our quality of life (ever consider that cramming more into our days isn't really better?). Maybe if we use Public Transit - instead of leaving it for welfare recipients and teenagers ditching school - we could make an argument that it needs to be better. But you know what, the Metro is pretty efficient. So, Catch the Blue Line in Long Beach the next time you're heading to Little Tokyo for sushi, or your cousin's downtown gallery show. Just try it once. I dare ya!
